We took our time to visit the Priory and adjacent museums, including a reconstructed iron age round house. This is based on the finds of a nearby excavation of a house dated to 450BC. The early Christian stone crosses from 400 to 1100AD are also fascinating.<\/p>\n
<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/foowr.org.uk\/lejogblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/dsc_9705-37503166.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-565 alignnone size-full\" width=\"2204\" height=\"3920\" srcset=\"https:\/\/foowr.org.uk\/lejogblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/dsc_9705-37503166.jpg 2204w, https:\/\/foowr.org.uk\/lejogblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/dsc_9705-37503166-169x300.jpg 169w, https:\/\/foowr.org.uk\/lejogblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/dsc_9705-37503166-768x1366.jpg 768w, https:\/\/foowr.org.uk\/lejogblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/dsc_9705-37503166-576x1024.jpg 576w, https:\/\/foowr.org.uk\/lejogblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/dsc_9705-37503166-1200x2134.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 709px) 85vw, (max-width: 909px) 67vw, (max-width: 1362px) 62vw, 840px\" \/><\/a>
\nAfter lunch in Whithorn we drove to the car park for Ninians cave, on the coast SW of Whithorn.
