I’m Janet Lees and this will be a blog about my walk from Land’s End to John O’Groats from March to August 2019.
I have recently retired from my job as a school Chaplain in Yorkshire and I now live in Derbyshire where I have been doing lots of practice walks.
This End to End should start at Land’s End on 2nd April and finish at John O’Groats on August 12th. There should be regular posts here. You can also follow me on Twitter @Bambigoesforth.
Bambi is my small 32 year old campervan that was supposed to make the journey with me, but is currently broken down. If you know anything about fixing Bambi Bedford vans please get in touch.
Meanwhile, rather than postpone the walk, other accommodation options have been chosen.
The walk will be in about 3 parts:
1st part is Land’s End to Bristol
2nd part is Bristol to the Scottish Border
3rd part is the border to John O’Groats.
As I walk I shall be looking out for wildlife and any interesting things in the landscape, holy places and good local food. Do get in touch if you want to walk with us.
